These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EditCrafted Subtitle Generator at subtitles.editcrafted.com ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
The Service lets you upload an audio or video file and download a
generated subtitle (.srt) file. The Service is provided
free of charge, on an as-is basis, and may change or be unavailable at
any time.
2. Acceptable use
- You must own the rights to any file you upload, or have permission from the rights holder.
- Do not upload illegal, harmful, abusive, or infringing content.
- Do not attempt to overload, probe, scrape, or otherwise abuse the Service or its infrastructure.
- Do not upload files containing personal data of others without a legal basis to do so.
3. Your content
You retain all rights to the files you upload and to the subtitles generated from them. We do not claim any ownership of your content. Uploads are deleted from our server after the subtitle is returned — see the Privacy Policy for details.
4. Accuracy
The Service relies on automated speech recognition. Output quality depends on audio clarity, language, accents, and background noise. We do not guarantee accuracy, and the subtitles should be reviewed before use in any context where correctness matters.
5. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EditCrafted shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service.
7. Advertising
The Service may display advertising provided by Google AdSense. Your interaction with advertisers is solely between you and them.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
