This Privacy Policy explains how the EditCrafted Subtitle Generator ("the Service", "we", "us") handles information when you use subtitles.editcrafted.com. The Service is operated by EditCrafted as part of the EditCrafted platform at www.editcrafted.com.

1. What we collect

The Service is designed to collect as little personal data as possible.

• Files you upload. When you upload an audio or video file, we temporarily store it on our server only for the time needed to generate your subtitles. We do not ask for your name, email, or account in order to use the tool.
• Generated subtitles. The .srt file we produce is returned to your browser as a download. Both the uploaded source file and the generated subtitle file are deleted from our server automatically right after the response is sent back to you.
• Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may receive standard log information (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the site. Analytics may set cookies on your browser. We do not use analytics to identify individual users.
• Advertising. We display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. 2. How your file is processed

Audio and video you upload are passed to an open-source speech recognition model running on our server to produce a transcript with timestamps, which is then formatted as an .srt file. Files are not shared with third parties, are not used to train models, and are deleted immediately after the subtitle file is returned. We do not maintain user-accessible storage of uploaded files.

3. Cookies

We use cookies for:

• Analytics (Google Analytics) — to measure aggregate site usage.
• Advertising (Google AdSense) — to deliver and measure ads.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the subtitle generator itself will continue to work.

4. Third-party services

The Service relies on the following third parties:

• Google Analytics (analytics)
• Google AdSense (advertising)
• Google Fonts (typography)
• Our hosting provider (serving the site and processing uploads)

5. Your rights
